Gracepoint traces our roots back as an extension of our church in Berkeley, CA. Our vision is to minister to the many students at The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin). The initial church plant team was sent off on July 10, 2008, and we held our inaugural service shortly thereafter on October 5, 2008 (see inaugural photos). Since then, God has extended our ministry to embrace college students, graduate students, and young adults in Austin and the greater Austin area. It is our mission to be the body of Christ that raises teams to plant Acts 2 churches in college towns (Acts 2:42-47).

We are also grateful for the continual wisdom, guidance and prayers we receive from our spiritual mentors back at Gracepoint Berkeley. Pastor Ed and his wife Kelly have been the spiritual mentors for our leadership team, for some up to 20 years, and we hope you'll have an opportunity to meet them soon too!
